Hey child,
Let it be.
Free
Float
Down
If you have to,
Up,
If you must,
Just,
Try not to fight this free floating feeling,
This life don’t have to be kneeling,
Don’t have to beg for relief,
It’s yours,
Belief comes to us all
If it must,
So let it be,
You don’t have to fight this,
Free floating feeling,
You don’t have to live life right.

evocative short poetry – words move

There’s something familiar about the photo from my dream visions — happy black children playing among bright sands.
I am so thrilled to “meet” you. This is what I need to do more of…just let it slide…
Im loving this. A few words, yet so much meaning to it. The beauty of Poetry. Good one! ^_^
-The Mad Hatter
Nice poem – LOVE the slightly subversive wrap up… Cheers!
I love the feel of words,- free floating life of existence! I felt it for a moment. Could not help recalling Shelly, ‘lift me up as a wave, I fall upon the thorns of life,I bleed!’
Thanks for sharing,
Loving the easy and informal address towards the child.. I feel like it’s a good word to all of us, to be bold in our belief! Thanks for sharing.
I really like this, especially, the ending ‘you don’t have to live life right’
Brilliant!! What is right anyway??
Good reminder, and well put! Reminds me of one of my maxims: You don’t have to change a single thing about yourself for God to love you. If you want to love God, it requires change.
No, not by other people’s right anyway… but right by yourself is so important. This has a wonderful floating feel (and I am mightily cross still that I never got to fly in Concorde, *sigh*)
Free floating through life, sometimes faster, sometimes slower, but always there, enjoying life, feeling, touching, loving, free floating, what will be, will be.
