A brave new world

short-poetry-Arab spring-eygpt-syria-young protestor-price of revolution

When you are born,
You know that you are,
Here to change the world.

And it is good.

And it’s alright,
To do your best.

Then,
You’re checking the curtains,
Just in case,

You run out of sunshine.

it can happen, so much power at ones fingertips, gone in an instant of self-doubt and surety of the world about you… x

How true it is! The sunshine may not end but definitely becomes limited in supply as we grow older, it seems.. like this one.. ‘it’s alright to do your best’… seriously! I LOVE artists’ brains more so in the moments when lines like these are born
You chose such a great photo to go with it as well.

Thanks. I’m trying to work this as a couplet of photos, so I’m experimenting. You know…sort of like from youth pointing forth, and from age pointing back, without having BOTH photos on the page at the same time. Any ideas? I think it may lie in the title.

  6. Amazing, Kenny. And thanks for the referral to scribbla. Now all I need is another day in the week…or something! :0)
