I got afraid.
In licking luscious praise I,
Managed to frighten myself,
Because these words,
Could not have been mine,
Find something bigger to say,
I will,
Tomorrow,
Really wind the vowels,
Ahhh
Oooo
Scatter perfect onomatopeia
Produce perpendicular delight,
Or maybe I will shut up,
And not write at all,
Because I am not important,
And I got it wrong.
I’ll frolick now,
Tie my laces just in case.

evocative short poetry – words move

Your words cross color and gender. Perhaps us simple poets may never be masters, but I shall give you a pair of those springy shoe laces that you don’t have to tie…Just pull them snug and you are good to go. That or use Velcro tabs or if you can go bare-foot! Cheering you on your way.
Right, so write! I don’t even know how I ended up back here after all these months… but I’m glad I did. I forgot how good you are. How what you say sticks. More… please
Lesley-Anne
Wrong? I think you got it right – and how!

Fear eats the soul, so shut up and write K! Even in doubt you have the touch of truth at times
Please keep writing. You didn’t get it wrong.
Kolembo, I’m awarding you the “versatility blogger award” because you and your talent deserve it.
I was just thinking of you the other day and how much I missed reading your words. Don’t be afraid, We’re here for support and admiration.
I am SOOOOOO GLAD you are back. . .You have been missed! BTW, I’ll be back soon, too. . .
Welcome back Kolembo! So nice to have you back and posting. You word-smithing skills are always appreciated.
You are important. You captured how so many of us feel so much of the time. Thanks for sharing. Now I’ll go tie my laces, just in case.
Dear Kolembo,
I’ve missed you and your beautiful poetry. Thank you for this it is utterly lovely, the words play music in my head.
Always wonderful to read your words. I just love the way you write – perhaps in some ways similar to how I think I write (or wish I did?)… beautifully spare.
…and while I hope you write tomorrow, I will wait patiently for the next missive, however long it takes…
