Earthquake

short poetry, disaster, survival, rescue, hope, sacrifice, father, daughter

Her legs will be amputated but,
Non-collapsible items like,
Book-shelves and fathers
Can make a space to survive.

Wow, powerful words. How important parents are to children’s survival-literally.

  2. Wonderful, strong words, the power of a father can be found in his prescence.

  3. penpusherpen says:

Says it all, kolembo. We watch, we mouth platitudes on how horrific, but we have no way of feeling the total bewilderment, pain and suffering being felt minute by minute. We’re anaesthetised by our screens…xx

  4. Graham Nunn says:

So good K! I am struggling to comprehend what is happening in the world at the moment, but this helps.

  5. Even in the midst of disaster they will rise up and survive!

    well done

  6. Even better the second time around!

  7. Tilly Bud says:

Sometimes less is definitely more. An excellent poem.

  8. The tragedy is so real and your words make it even more real.

Keep all that is necessary and good,
    Non-collapsible and able to survive,
    Not just for the moment,
but for all time to thrive.

  10. Wow, Kenny, this really smacks the reader with the reality of what so many people are facing right now. Well done and evocative.

    • Liv2Write2day, and Kenny

I honestly fully and completely agree! Ken, brother, how the heck have you been? ;-) ;-)

I can tell, definitely a bit under the radar you are? Yet hell pal…—— I can so truly relate as many who may or may not admit, tune into what your translation is here.

Vast and very, very, and yet again, “VERY” unique, untouched ballsy, yet so well placed “mein freund…” This verse and voice you’ve chosen here is spectacular man. Hey pal, miss ya so’s ya stop on by, got a new post and would love to hear from you.

Pontificate, was a marvel my friend. Very well versed, talented, inspired and more credence all the time. Applause, and reason I so doted Liv2Write2day, in her words at ya, Kenny! True voice in such well versed, verse brother and friend, and truly the writer of credence, not possibly or maybe, but truly, truly and “Truly.” Gotten any of my email(s)? Think that you’ll do well and you’ll friggin’ kill the words you ink, each and all; every one of them dear friend. Always your pal, and stable help mate brother, shit you inspired me and have many here. Never undermine oneself, such as you are too stoically as you deserve no such bane of self lashing, but deserving of excellent and noteworthy praise Kenny. You’ve honored and spoken beyond some’s comp., yet it’s as noted by Liv2Write2Day as: TRULY: “EVOCATIVE” and you’ve hit a key, a strike of gold here, keep on keepin it buddy… ;-) ;-) ;-)
