Miss Understanding

Senior Man Doing Pushups

Jesus was always in a hijab.

Love is not a thing that we can take lightly,
Just because it’s in all the books.

The hijab is not covering the fact that he is either,
Male or Female.

Love is fresh and free, even as we discover,
That perhaps, love is the one thing,

We will never understand as universal biological entities.

There is no reason to stress the Hijab.
None to insist that the wearer is accompanied by a man.

Jezebel?

No, sorry, those are the Other Book.

Be kind to each other,
Otherwise the Alien will eat you.

  1. Oh, Kenny! Now there is something altogether new and different – even from you! I love it – especially the subtext, which is leaking out all over the screen.

Just got your comment today and I notice the new and different ID for you. This is the first comment I have received from you in months, so I’m wondering what has happened to the ones you have sent? Did you send e-mail, or were they comments on the blog(s)? Please send me an e-mail at calhounpaula@ymail.com I really want to “talk” with you! Take care, my dear friend.

I have met two people from Nairobi lately here at our church. One white, one black. Interesting the confluence – your comment, the meetings, plus you being on my mind almost constantly throughout this Lent. Can you believe that a year has gone by? Please write a.s.a.p. I may be calling you one of these days. Are you planning a trip to the US? I keep getting these dreams of you standing up with me in church. . .
